We are so thrilled to partner once again with Ellie’s Run for Africa, an amazing organization started by a 10 year old from Nashville. And, now, that 10 year old is headed off to college.
8 races later and 4 trips to Africa for her, she’s leaving quite a mark on Nashville, and more importantly on Africa. Students have the chance at a better education - something that, as a young girl, she didn’t even realize she took for granted until she saw pictures of kids who didn’t have food or a place to go to school. Her dream has changed that, raising more than $300,000 for schools in Africa.
When you race, you race for a kid. Literally, you will get the name of a student at New Dawn Academy, a high school in the slums of Nairobi, to pin to your shirt. And throughout the whole 5K, you will be running with that kid’s name in mind.
